The quilted BCBG Jacket that I'm wearing in these pictures is one of my favorite jackets; the jacket is very soft and comfortable and it can be paired with any kind of pants :-). I also love the pants because it's very light and also very comfy.

Once upon a Wedding.....

This particular picture was taken by my friend cofotography.blogspot.com/

The weather has been great this past couple of days and iHope everyone enjoyed their weekend as much as iDid mine :-). Why do females always feel the need to limit themselves and ONLY wear dresses to weddings? hmmmm...good question right? iDecided to wear pants to the Akinsanya's wedding because iWasn't in the mood to wear the typical dress that most females tend to wear. My tailor thought iWas crazy when iShowed her what iHad designed for her to make for me lol. I'm gald everything turned out well & i absolutely LOVE the outcome of my outfit.

As you can see, there are 2 major outfits that everyone is wearing- Aso Ebi. ASO EBI asho•eybee (N.):Nigerian outfits made from matching fabric to be worn by a group of people to a party, wedding....as a uniform."

P.S. iAdore bow ties & The shirt and the bow tie was designed by yours truly :-)

iLove my brother :-D

Hollywood Glam

Before Funmi and Akin tied the knot, their close friends decided to throw them a surprise Cocktail Party. We were instructed to come with dates of the opposite sex and wear black and white outfits. The ladies came in dresses while the gentlemen wore ties. Both the bride and groom to be wore pink because that was part of their wedding color. Every one of us had an amazing time with the couple. We played games, ate, socialized and danced the night away :-)

Some of my friends lost someone special yesterday, Stephanie. It is very sad how we take being alive for granted- iThank God that I'm alive. My condolences and thoughts goes to Stephanie's family members and friends. I dedicate this post to Stephanie. Although I didn't know her that much, I knew her well enough. Stephanie was a gentle person that didn't like trouble and I'm sure she's in a better place.

N I G E R I A- My country

Mother It's your birthday today...
iLook back at your [50] years of freedom
It's amazing how far you've come
How white your hair has grow even at this age
worry, stress, sadness, strife has toughened you
Mama, remember when your life was still "Dissebled"
How you needed a man to put you together
he happened to be a foreigner...partly the reason for your
current ailments...in restrospect Mama,
did he choose what was best for you?
...In my gratitude for conceiving me, Mama...
I ask you, "can I come home?"
Can I come home to embrace the inheritance you left me?
...Mama, can I use my talents and abilities to help you?
...iLove you Mama...You will reap the fruits of your good labor.

Happy Birthday- I got this excerpt from a poem that my friend wrote in 2008 about our Country, Nigeria. The author's name is Nwanbundo Onyeabo and the name of her book is Out of Curiosity

These pictures were taken at a friend's surprise birthday party. As you can see, iHad loads of fun :-). This post is Dedicated to Nigeria, Happy Independence day!!! In these photographs, I'm wearing the colors of my country, Green-white-Green. iShall post something new in a couple of days...HAVE A L O V E LY WEEKEND!!!
